The Hong Kong Association for External Friendship is committed to becoming an influential platform for people-to-people exchanges between China and other countries, giving full play to Hong Kong’s unique position as a bridge between China and the world, connecting people and societies in China with those around the world, and promoting world peace, cooperation and sustainable development.
Looking to the future:
- The Association for Promoting Hong Kong as a City of Friendship in the World will actively promote friendly exchanges between the people of Hong Kong, the Mainland, and the international community, fostering understanding and trust among the people and making Hong Kong a city of friendship in the world.
- Promoting cultural integration and social inclusion will foster exchanges and integration between minority communities and mainstream society, creating a diverse, equal, and respectful Hong Kong, and showcasing a successful example of "multicultural coexistence" to the world.
- With people-to-people connectivity at its core, the establishment of a lasting global friendship network not only promotes exchanges among various sectors, but also strives to build deep and long-term friendships and cooperative relationships, allowing the concept of "people-to-people affinity and mutual understanding" to blossom and bear fruit globally.
Through this vision, the Hong Kong Association for External Friendship will not only continue to serve the local community, but also go global, becoming an important non-governmental force for Hong Kong to go international, promote peaceful development, and tell China's story.
